Fordyce On The Cotton Belt Festival
Weeklong celebration in honor of the railroad and its role in the development of our city.
The festival includes arts & crafts, food vendors, 5-K run, gospel singing, beauty pageants,
parade, antique cars, model train exhibits, class reunions, a rodeo, and many more
events that provide wholesome family fun.
Event begins: The week preceding the fourth Saturday in April.
May
Dallas County Relay For Life
Relay for Life is fun filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship, raise money for research in the fight against cancer and to remember those who lost their lives to cancer. During the event, teams of people gather at the Fordyce Civic Center ( located along US H WY 79-167 N) and take turns walking or jogging along our walking trail. Each team tries to keep a member on the trail at all times. A Luminary Ceremony held at the event begins at 10:00 p.m. There will be an auction beginning at 6:45 p.m. and an antique car show.

Dallas County Fair
Carnival, parade, rodeo, beauty pageants, food exhibits, hand-crafted exhibits, and livestock.
November
Veteran's Day Remembrance
Held at the Peace Park in downtown Fordyce, this ceremony honors and celebrates our country's servicemen and women. To honor those from Dallas County, a bell is rung as each name is called.
Event Begins: Veteran's Day at noon
December
Annual Christmas Parade and Christmas Festivities
Starting at 7:00 P.M. features lighted floats. There are cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place floats.
Event begins: The first Thursday in December at 7:00 P.M.
