Henderson State Univesity

Henderson State Univesity is located in Arkadelphia, which is 50 miles from Fordyce. Located on a 125 acre campus, the school became a state-supported university in 1929. A small group atmosphere offers instruction of outstanding quality and allows for a high degree of individual attention. Henderson has several programs that are unique to the University, such as Aviation, Fine Arts, The Honors College, Music, Sports Medicine, and a Nursing Program. There are over 70 organizations on campus, including clubs, service groups, fraternities, and sororities.

Henderson is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools, The National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education for the Preparation of Elementary and Secondary Teachers, National Association of Schools of Music, National League for Nursing, and is recognized by the Federal Aviation Administration.
