Overview of Public Schools

The Fordyce school system is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools for its curriculum and high educational standards. Enrichment programs are offered for children with special needs, including gifted and talented. The current enrollment for 2003 is 1197.

• Patterson Grammar School - grades K-2nd
• J.E. Wallace School - grades 3-5
• Fordyce Middle School - grades 6-8
• Fordyce High School - grades 9-12

Our student-teacher ratio is 13 to 1. The Fordyce Schools millage is 33.5 mills. The cost of education per child is $4,710.60.
