Dallas County Fair and Livestock ShowThe Dallas County Fair and Livestock show is held each year during the month of September. The fairgrounds are located behind Fordyce City Hall on Main Street. Fair week is "kicked-off" with the Beauty Pageants and Talent Show on the first Saturday. The carnival opens on Tuesday night along with Gospel Singing on the fairgrounds. Tuesday night is also armband night, where you can ride the carnival rides all night for one low price. The livestock show is held on Tuesday night with the youth demonstrating all the hard work of raising and training their animals. Fair week is culminated with the parade on the final Saturday of the fair with the carnival closing around midnight. Each year approximately 325 exhibitors exhibit 1200 items in the C.A. Ramer Exhibit Hall, located on the fairgrounds. Exhibits range from small handcrafted items to large heirloom county exhibit rabbits, hogs, goats, chickens, ducks, and cattle. Each year exhibitors at the Dallas County Fair and Livestock receive over $7,000 in premiums. Community Information | Tourism Information | Business & Industry
